PLAN WITH A RANGE, NOT A PROMISE

Reading travel times

A useful duration separates terminal access, road time, stops and the final city transfer. One number cannot describe all four.

What our ranges mean

Each route gives a broad orientation range for the intercity road segment. It is not a live timetable, guaranteed arrival or confirmation that a departure operates. The lower end assumes relatively smooth conditions; the upper end allows for ordinary traffic, breaks and passenger calls—but unusual disruption can exceed it.

Build door-to-door time

  1. Local travel to the departure point.
  2. Required reporting and boarding time.
  3. The intercity range shown on the route page.
  4. A delay margin appropriate to the importance of the connection.
  5. Unloading and local transport after arrival.

Why stops matter

A comfort break adds time but gives passengers access to facilities. An intermediate passenger call may add time without allowing everyone to leave. An operational stop may be brief and offer no public facilities. Ask which pattern applies to the intended departure.

Connections

Do not build a fixed connection from the earliest end of a range. Use the later end, then add a separate margin based on the consequences of missing the connection. Airport, medical or event timing deserves more protection than a flexible hotel arrival.

What to verify

Confirm the date, departure time, reporting cutoff, exact boarding point, stop pattern and arrival location directly with the transport service you intend to use.
